4340QT 即以预淬火预回火状态供货的 AISI 4340（JIS SNCM439，DIN 36CrNiMo4）。相对于 4140/SCM440，约 1.8% 的镍是 4340 的核心特征——镍提高韧性（尤其是低温韧性），并改善淬透性，确保较大截面（直径 150 mm 及以上）实现均匀全截面硬度。这使 4340 成为同时需要高强度和高韧性场合的首选钢种。

材料性能
在相同硬度下，4340 的韧性（冲击能）始终优于 4140，通常高出 30–50%，这直接源于镍对奥氏体的稳定作用、对马氏体的细化效果以及对氢脆敏感性的降低。淬透性优异，截面直径达 150 mm 的工件可通过油淬实现全截面高硬度。
4340 最初为飞机起落架和其他安全关键航空应用而开发——在那些场合，高抗拉强度（>1 000 MPa）、优异疲劳强度和抗脆性断裂能力缺一不可。这些特性同样使其在重型矿山设备、船用轴、大型工业齿轮和油气钻铤中不可或缺。

热处理
供货状态
预调质状态，28–34 HRC 范围内大多数应用可直接机加工。
去应力退火（可选）
大量切削后，关键零件如有尺寸稳定性要求，在 450–550°C 保温 2–4 小时。
重新淬火（如需）
奥氏体化温度 800–845°C，油淬，540–680°C 回火至目标硬度，请咨询 PSS 技术团队。
